To intervene in a listed building in order to make elegance and intelligence shine to me is an opportunity, a gift, each time. Faubourg Saint-Honoré Longchamp’s headquarters and shop are a reference. With all the finesse and delicacy it required, this intervention is a reference and I have great pleasure in narrating every detail.

The first complexity was obviously the imperative need to conceive and draw all the heating/cooling network and its commands elements so that they will disappear and leave the foreground to the exceptional architecture.

The other challenge was to combine the different protocols. A dialog had to be created between the existing modules and the new ones that came to complete the whole installation and make it “smart”. At every moment, every decision, was guided by the aim to create communication between the past and the present.
